Method
- Cut Idli’s
into squares and keep aside. Mix cornflour, chilli powder, pepper
powder, salt and add little water to make batter. The batter should
not be very loose. Dip the cut idli’s into this batter, deep
fry and keep aside
Ingredients
for Gravy
Onion – 3
Garlic – 6 to 8 pods
Ginger – ½ inch
Tomato Sauce / Ketchup – 4 tbsp
Chilli sauce – 2 tbsp
Salt – as required
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Method
- Chop onions,
ginger and garlic finely. Heat oil fry garlic, ginger and onion till
it becomes transparent. Add chilli powder, pepper powder, tomato sauce,
chilli sauce and salt, fry for few minutes. Add required water and
fried idlis. Boil till the idlis becomes soft and mixes well with
the gravy.
Note
Cauliflower
Manchurian can also be done in the same way. For Cauliflower Manchurian
if required beat one egg and after dipping the cauliflower in the cornflour
mixture dip in beaten egg and fry. This is just to keep the coating as
it is
