BEAUTIFICATION OF Race Course, an initiative by the Coimbatore Corporation with private participation, not only saw improvements to the walking track and the roadside gardens, but also erection of miniatures of some architectural wonders.

Six miniatures - the Tower of Pisa, The Lotus Temple, Hawa Mahal, Great Wall of China, Red Fort and the Eiffel Tower - have sprung up on the sides of the 2.2 km walking track and these are also educative to the public, especially children, on the world-famous buildings.

In an effort to bring out the intricacies of the original structures, the builders have gone in for some innovative technologies, employed sthapathis for the ornamental finish and displayed the significance of these buildings. Most of them have taken four to six months to complete the work.
