All you need to make up your house
With everything from building materials and kitchen accessories to paintings and furniture, the Inside Outside Mega Show is back with a bang

IMAGINE RESTING on an imported leather recliner, switching on the light using a remote control and relishing the onyx cup from Pakistan. Well, a trip to the Inside Outside Mega Show at the Padmavati Ammal Cultural Centre in Coimbatore can make this a reality.

Sixth year

For the sixth consecutive year, the fair has come to Coimbatore and is on till July 16. With 50 companies and about 90 stalls, it has a range of exhibits related to construction sector - building materials, kitchen accessories, modular kitchen, artificial grass, paintings and furniture.

The new models of kitchen shelves seem to attract the young and the old as they are easy to handle and can hold a wide range of containers.

The Kremot remote control switches for lights and fans have panels that can have up to maximum eight light switches, two fan switches (with a digital regulator) and a socket too. The remote can be used even 45 to 65 feet from the switchboard.

Imported leather recliners from the U.S. are an attraction at the fair. The Lazboy recliners have been introduced in this textile city through the fair, and can be modified to customer needs.

With artistic carvings, onyx stone flower vases, cups, candle stands and tables imported from Pakistan catch the visitor's eyes. Not to be missed are the curtain poles, Tanjore paintings, pre-fabricated steel structures for commercial and industrial buildings, security solutions, solar heaters, carved doors, and even home linen and wall hangings for children.

Love for art

The fair, organised by Inside Outside (interior design magazine) and Business India Exhibitions, is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Assistant Manager - Operations and Sales of Business India Exhibitions, M. Natarajan, says that Coimbatore is a market place for the entire Kongu belt (Tirupur, Erode, Salem and the Nilgiris) and Kerala. People in this region have a love for art and creativity, and even high-end products have a market here.
