Let that garden in to your flat

Try out that green thumb indoors too. Realtors now even leave slots for them in apartments

With land getting scarce and independent houses making way for apartments, not many have the luxury of possessing a patch of soil to do a bit of gardening. But interior gardening allows you to pursue this hobby, no matter in which floor your flat is.

You can grow plants on the terrace, window or balcony. Many realtors these days are coming up with reserved spaces for green slots in apartments. If you search well enough, you will even find interesting readymade plants. And Plants Land at Somajiguda promises to be an ideal place for purchasing such readymade plants.

From saplings to fully-grown trees, almost anything and everything you need for that green patch at your home are available here, that too in all shapes and sizes.

More than 50 specimen plants, including desert rose, cannon ball, royal palm, neem and mulsari trees and 10 varieties of grass are available at Plants Land, located on Raj Bhavan Road in Hyderabad.

"Flat owners are opting for well-grown palm trees. But we are facing several hardships in transporting these trees due to restrictions imposed by the Government," says Plants Land Managing Director M. M. Hussain said. Potted trees and shrubs are also in great demand. Carpet grass is another popular variety. Apart from interior decoration, the flat owners were now focusing on developing interior gardening either in the balcony or on the terrace. "It gives a new look to the house if well-grown small plants are developed," Hussain said. The price ranges start from Rs.150 and go up to Rs.5,000, depending on the plant you want.
