If you are a software developer, read on. Or if you are a businessperson who can smell money, I need not prompt you. You know it from a mile away that online gambling is one big helluva business. If you are not both, you may still take a look at this billion dollar business for what it is worth.

I do not support or oppose gambling online or offline. It is great entertainment. And it should be recognised as such. But the trouble with gamblers is that they think that they can win back the losses. But they can never ever, for the system is programmed that way. And Las Vegas is still one great place to visit. Casinos, or no casinos, where you can use your credit card to pay for a variety of services. But that's the topic for a future story...

Coming back to the current topic, my intention here is to provide you some pointers to sources of more information on Online Gambling / Gaming. (If you are interested in lots of money, that is.)

The industry is divided into these broad segments:
  • Gaming Software Developers.
  • Content Developers.
  • Portal Operators (the online casinos)
  • Service Providers: website hosting companies, payment processors
  • Advertising and Marketers.
Of these, all except the portal operation (casino) is legal in many countries. Despite a plethora of software developers, the industry is still suffering from boring clone websites. The possibilities are endless for people with imagination. And imagination we have plenty don't we? Explore the different sites carefully, and who knows, you may find your millions there! (I mean a million dollar deal, not a jackpot.)
